More news from the world of Slash this morning as the former Guns N' Roses guitarist has announced his full summer touring schedule, which will see Slash joined by vocalist Myles Kennedy and backing back the Conspirators for a run of both headlining shows and festival appearances.
Rapper Andre 3000 will play Jimi Hendrix in a new Hendrix biopic, which will begin shooting in Ireland later this month. The film, which is titled All Is By My Side, was written by -- and will be directed by -- novelist and screenwriter John Ridley, who recently wrote the Tuskegee Airmen film Red Tails.
Glenn Danzig, former frontman of The Misfits, is set to release "Devil’s Angels," the first single from his new album of covers. On the album, Danzig takes on tunes by Black Sabbath, Elvis Presley and several other aartist.
As we reported last fall, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan got together to form WhoCares, releasing two songs for a good cause -- to raise funds to rebuild a music school in Armenia.
