A young cancer-stricken Pantera fan named Peyton had one wish: to shred out on "Walk," a classic Pantera tune. Wednesday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Make-A-Wish Foundation made that wish come true. Peyton got on stage with Phil Anselmo, Pantera's former frontman, and his band the Illegals, and had some serious fun.
Trivium have posted a brand new track, "Brave this Storm," for free download. The song is the first full piece of new music to be revealed from new Trivium album, Vengeance Falls, which was produced by Disturbed and Device frontman David Draiman and will be released this Autumn via Roadrunner.

Last year, a deluxe version of their Liverpool pedal sold out quicker than anticipated, and caused a flurry of requests to create a Blonde Deluxe next. Deep Purple released a successful album earlier this summer. So did Ritchie Blackmore's band, Blackmore's Night. But are the chances of these guys getting together and releasing a Deep Purple album with Blackmore? According to Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan, it's never gonna happen.
“We’re definitely guilty of over-obligating ourselves as a band,” Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett says with a laugh. “The Orion festival requires a lot of energy, and it’s different from our regular Metallica shows, where we show up, have a bite to eat, do our warm-up and meet-and-greet, and go onstage. That’s easy compared to today.”
