This past Sunday night at London's O2 Arena, The Rolling Stones performed the first of five 50th-anniversary shows, which are scheduled through December 15. Several guest stars joined the band that night, including Jeff Beck (who was offered a chance to be in the Stones at one point) and former Stones Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor, who brought along a Bigsby-equipped, vintage Les Paul.
On January 29, Sony Legacy will release a deluxe, 30th-anniversary edition of Texas Flood, the debut album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. The selling point of the new, two-CD edition is the bonus disc, which features an October 20, 1983, show recorded at Ripley’s Music Hall in Philadelphia.

But with a slew of remasters on their way beginning next year, Jimmy Page wants to assure fans that the bonus material slated to be included with each album is nothing to overlook.
Swedish metal band Therion are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, and not in the way most bands do, with a best-of collection or a nostalgia-laden tour. Therion mastermind Christofer Johnsson has decided that now is the right time for the band to release a long-in-the-works art project of an album named for and inspired by the poetry of Charles Baudelaire.
