December 9 saw the release of the soundtrack for the upcoming film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Among the tracks was a collaboration between Rezor and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O, a cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song."
On the final night of Metallica's four-show 30th anniversary celebration, Megadeth leader and former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine joined his former bandmates onstage for five songs. On December 19, Radiohead will finally give a proper release to two new songs -- "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase" -- that they had previously performed live. The tracks were recorded as part of the The King of Limbs - From the Basement sessions which were filmed earlier this year.
