Epiphone unveiled their new Dave Navarro Signature Acoustic/Electric guitar at last week's 2012 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California. Navarro visited the Epiphone booth on Friday meet fans and demo the new guitar, and you can check out some photos in the gallery below.
British progressive metal band TesseracT have revealed plans for an acoustic EP to be released this spring via Century Media. Tentatively titled Perspective, the EP is set to contain reworked versions of songs from the band's debut album, One, as well as what the band are calling "a very special" cover song.
This past week, Ovation announced the release of two new signature Viper models designed by and for Yngwie Malmsteen. The two models will come in two colors, white and Rosso Corsa Red, which Ovation points out matches one of Yngwie's favorite Ferraris.
Guitar World visited the Ibanez booth at last week's Winter NAMM show to see two versions of their new Mick Thomson Signature model guitars. Slipknot are headlining the Mayhem Festival this summer, and Thomson will actually be using the black version of the guitar with the "Seven" inlay. It features a neck-through design and Seymour Duncan pickups. On the left in the video is a Blood Red budget version of the model.

If you didn't quite hear enough about Occupy Wall Street this past summer, a new compilation album -- aptly titled Occupy This Album -- will help you relive all the good times. The album, which will be released this spring, will feature music from Warren Haynes, Tom Morello, Debbie Harry, Jackson Browne, Yoko Ono, Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash and more. A few of the artists, including Joan Baez and Crosby & Nash, performed at the New York OWS site.
Guitarist K.K. Downing, a founding member of Judas Priest, says he wants to open a luxury hotel in the grounds of his home in Shropshire, England. Downing, who retired from Judas Priest last April, told the Shropshire Star that he plans to build 63-room hotel, indoor swimming pool, spa and a classy restaurant on the grounds of his 320-acre estate. There's already a golf course on the grounds.
At last week's Winter NAMM show, Guitar World headed straight for the Builder's Reserve in the Taylor booth to check out Taylor's first-ever ukulele. These tenor ukes are made out of the same Hawaiian koa wood used for Taylor's guitars -- but from smaller pieces the company has been saving for years. They are designed by Taylor's Andy Powers, who has been making ukuleles since he was a little kid!
