Fred Mascherino and Terrible Things want to put out a guitar tabs book of their songs, and they're using Kickstarter to get it done. It's the first time the band has used the crowd-funded platform, where they're also offering Skype guitar lessons, digital downloads of tabs and tabs from Mascherino's solo project, The Color Fred.

A rare Vox guitar played by John Lennon and George Harrison sold for $408,000 Saturday in New York City. The guitar, which was auctioned by Julien's Auctions at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, brought in essentially twice its pre-sale estimate of $200,000 to $300,000.
