The Eagle's Glen Frey wishes he could play like that! It was Don Felder of The Eagles who wrote the music for Hotel California and played it up until 2001 when he was fired. Steuart (strange spelling) Smith plays with the remaining two Eagles. (Henley and Frey). Schmidt, Walsh, and Smith are still paid contractors. Henley has everything they do not get a cut of, removed from the internet as you see above.

A great list. Thank you.Love that Maggie May intro!

The Rooftop Singers early 60s version of "Walk Right In, Sit Right Down" showed what two big 12-string guitars can do. The 12-string lead part is especially tasty.

I agree with most of the listings here, but I beg to differ on the fact that Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' didn't make the cut.

They have no Yes songs like Awaken or And You And I. They should have at least one of those on the list. And Steve Howe played lead lines on Awaken on a 12 string electric guitar. With And You And I he played an acoustic guitar. I can see The Eagles, The Beatles, The Who, Supertramp, Rush and Jimi belong on the list some of the others I question when you left Yes or I should say Steve Howe off the list.
