Last week, we listed the 50 (OK, 51 -- there was a tie) best guitar records of the Eighties, as picked by the editors of Guitar World in early 1990.
We then asked you to pick your favorite album from the list (of 51 albums) in a poll to see what 21 years of guitar evolution would do to the results.
Before we reveal the top 10 albums as chosen by Guitar World readers today, here's a gallery of the albums chosen by the editors in 1990. They are in order from killer to jaw-droppingly awesome. Or from 50 to one, depending on your perspective.

What about Rush, Accept, Iron Maiden or The Scorpions? What a shame that no album by either of those bands is on the list.

G N'R AFD at #32??? Seriously??? That album inspired a generation and more with some of the raunciest and best sounding blues rock guitar riffs since the 80's and still to this very day, is better than most anything in its genre and definately should be in the top 10!!!

1984 as #1? I guess "Guitar Album" doesn't mean what I thought it did.
