A Tribute to Jeff Hanneman: The Slayer Guitarist’s Wife Recalls the Spider-Bite Incident and How It Lead to Her Husband’s Downfall

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris. Tab repost, GW Dec 1998 (Granted 15 years ago, but still a re-post none the less).

Please let Mrs. Hanneman know her family is not alone. I have had similar bites twice. Both times a cellulitis was caught early, but it took 10 hospital days and weeks of Vancomycin. Then 8 weeks of therapy. I still have my right leg, but it won't win any complection competition. We guessed the insect that bit me to have been a Brown Recluse spider, though we did not have a corpse to check.

Now whenever I see a patch of skin go to a red, irritated shade, and I get a simultaneous fever, I get myself to the ER pronto.

This could happen to anyone. Please take care.

Great Mag.
Never had a use for Tabs...Gotta' pick it up as you hear it and form your own style.

Down with tabs and more content !

Everytime I feel like something might have bit me, mostly during the night. I reach over and grab two antihistamine pills and immediately take them. They really do help in times like that, but you've also gotta not just blow it off either.

I agree about the track selection for this particular mag too. A Slayer song that has been in these tabs about 15 times already...come on you lazy jackasses. Do some new ones. And the Goo Goo Dolls for a tab on a JH tribute mag. Oh that would just piss him off enough to come and haunt you guys.

Johnny Rhoads

Dudes, the song tabs here are not right for a Jeff Hanneman tribute magazine! Where's the Maiden, Priest, Sabbath tabs? And I agree with Dimebag-King-Wylde, Raining Blood...again? Long time readers notice these things! How about Spirit in Black? Goo-Goo Dolls???...Thats just plain insulting. Here's a tab selection:

Slayer: Spirit In Black
Iron Maiden: Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Judas Priest: Painkiller
Black Sabbath: Symptom Of The Universe or Ozzy's Bark At The Moon
Deep Purple: Burn (Thats a good one).

We loved Jeff & your magazine is great so do him justice.

Peace out, J.

I really do want to get my hands this issue, haven't been subscribed for a while now. But really? Raining Blood? Not Serenity in Murder or something a little less over done than that one? Nothing against it, but it's the same as tabbing Enter Sandman, everyone already knows how to play it.
