You've seen it before. The famous guitarist goes solo and hires a bunch of goons to stand behind him while he stands awkwardly in the foreground, trying to be both guitarist and frontman while the singer croons timidly, relegated to the side of the stage. And then there's Slash.
While in full-on promotional mode for his upcoming new album, Apocalyptic Love, Slash recently filmed a six-song set for Walmart's Soundcheck, a video series featuring exclusive performances from top artists.
Another teaser video for Slash's upcoming Guitar Center Sessions special has been posted online. You can check out Slash, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators performing an unplugged rendition of "Not For Me" below, courtesy of Noisecreep.
Just a week ahead of the release of his new album, Apocalyptic Love, Slash just debuted the official music video for the track "You're a Lie." Check it out below.
ABC News Radio is reporting that Velvet Revolver have official reunited with singer Scott Weiland, with the band tentatively planning to tour later in the year.

With all the hoopla over Guns N' Roses stemming from their upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it's easy to forget that Slash has got a jam-packed year ahead.
