All guitar wireless systems are more or less created equal, right? Wrong! Say hello to the newest wireless from NUX, the C-5RC, which brings guitar into the 5G future.
“So what makes the NUX C-5RC different from other wireless guitar systems?” asks Guitar World Tech Editor Paul Riario in the above demo video. “Well for one, it utilizes 5.8GHz technology.”
What does this mean, exactly? “It’s the latest frequency and the new standard, and one which is not commonly used among other wireless devices,” Paul explains. “Most other systems run on 2.4GHz bandwidth. So with the new system you’ll experience less interference onstage and at home.”
The C-5RC features automatic pairing and has up to 30 meters or 100 feet of operating range, depending on your environment. It boasts a more stable wireless connection while also offering low latency, low noise, low interference, flawless operation and a high-quality 24bit/44.1kHz audio experience.

What’s more, Paul says, the C-5RC is “tiny and portable, with a sleek form factor. And its swiveling ¼ inch output jack makes it compatible with all types of instruments, including electric guitars with either active or passive pickups, electric-acoustic guitars, bass guitars and even keyboards.”
There’s also a power case with an internal battery to charge the transmitter and receiver, and a set of fully-charged units can last up to four hours.
In short, Paul says, “The NUX C-5RC is an amazingly portable and powerful wireless guitar system with up to 100 feet of operating range with a transparent and quiet signal.”
He concludes, “It’s about time for you to ditch your cables when you perform and feel the freedom of going wireless. And just looking at its ergonomic form factor, it’s a no-brainer.”
