Meet the Reverend Kingbolt Air 390 – the offset semi-hollow for those wanting to push the boundaries of their music
Premium specs, top tier playability and seven pickup combinations define this semi-hollow stunner
Reverend has cemented itself as the alternative guitar brand for players looking to push the boundaries of their music and creativity.
It’s also a go-to guitar maker for those on the hunt for fresh shapes, top notch playability and premium tones. In other words, Reverend guitars are canvases that can accommodate and inspire players of all styles.
The Kingbolt Air 390 is no exception. Vintage character comes courtesy of the offset double-cut body, while modern playability arrives via its quality spec sheet. Core components include a semi-hollow mahogany body with a solid spruce top and distinctly Reverend f-holes, as well as a roasted maple neck with either a roasted maple or rosewood fingerboard.
The combination ensures a warm midrange sustain and harmonic shimmer, as well as pronounced resonance thanks to the comfortably compact semi-hollow design.
As for feel, the 25.5” scale six-string offers effortless playability thanks to its comfortable Medium Oval neck profile and 12” fretboard radius. Other hardware features include a Wilkinson WVS50 IIK tremolo bridge, Reverend Pin-Lock tuners, and a Boneite nut.
Under the hood, you get a generous three Steelhead P-90 pickups. These particular P-90s offer Reverend’s own take on the classic pickup design, with a hum-cancelling performance and high-output character.
These are wired to Volume, Tone and Bass Contour controls, as well as an expansive five-way pickup selector. For greater versatility, there’s a push-pull Studio switch for a total of seven pickup combinations, including the option of neck + bridge, and all three P-90s at once.
Altogether, it provides the perfect platform for those seeking warm cleans, responsive overdrive and controlled feedback.
Available in Metallic Limeade, Purple Punch, Iconic Blue and Sandstone, the Kingbolt Air 390 is the modern semi-hollow that will help take your music – and your playing – into new territories.
The Kingbolt Air 390 is available now for $1,599.
