Fender has introduced four new models to its Pawn Shop series: the Pawn Shop Offset Special, the Pawn Shop Jaguarillo, the Pawn Shop Fender Mustang Special, and the line’s first bass guitar, the Pawn Shop Reverse Jaguar Bass.
"When I first got to LA, I had that creme Les Paul, which is an amazing-sounding fiddle," Wylde said last week. "So I had the blonde hair and the creme Les Paul -- and it was gonna look like a Randy Rhoads tribute band when I get up there with Ozzy. So I wanted to get something painted on it. A short YouTube clip from a July 2011 show in France features Billy with a sexy T-type by TAO Guitars of Brussels, Belgium. The El Mirage axe is a one-off guitar for Gibbons springing from TAO’s T-Bucket platform, a sort of space-age, George Jetson, retro-modern T-type interpretation.

When Line 6 introduced its Variax technology back in 2003, guitarists were immediately knocked out by its ability to produce the sounds of various guitars and stringed instruments in numerous alternate tunings. However, many players were somewhat lukewarm about the solidbody guitars that housed the technology, which were decent and playable but not particularly sexy.

Fender’s American Standard series guitars and basses have been upgraded for 2012, resulting in the latest iterations of the Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. The new instruments now feature Fender Custom Shop pickups, as well as other new design touches.
