It’s difficult to imagine two human beings more different than Joe Satriani and Zakk Wylde, even just in terms of physical appearance. Satriani is slight and slender, with a clean-shaven face and head. Wylde is big and hairy, with full beard and black-leather biker garb encasing his paunchy frame.
“We achieved quite a bit of success with Vulgar Display of Power, but we wanted to take our music to another level completely,” Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul told Guitar World about Far Beyond Driven, where "I'm Broken" originally appeared.

Yesterday, April 23, Zakk Wylde performed the Black Label Society song "In this River" in accompaniment to a video montage paying tribute to the hard-rock and metal fallen heroes we lost over the decade since Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell's death. Black Label Society have released the official music video for "My Dying Time," a track off their new album, Catacombs of the Black Vatican — and you can check it out below. The album, the band's first disc of new material since 2010’s Order of the Black, will be released April 8.
This past Friday night, a custom-made, $10,000 Pelham Blue Bullseye Gibson Les Paul Custom was stolen from Zakk Wylde's tour bus outside the Chicago Theatre. Wylde, the Black Label Society frontman, was in town as part of the Experience Hendrix Tour, which also features Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang and more.
