No Klaus Meine??????????

No Bono Vox????????????

I think Myles Kennedy should have been included. The man has an unbelievable voice - far more talent than half of the nominees! OZZY?!?!?!?! WTF.

I agree with you 100%, but he won't make it onto any list Guitar World posts for a few reasons......

1) He wasn't popular in the 60s or 70s.

2) Most people don't know a lot about Alter Bridge.

3) He's primarily a singer, so he may not get noticed by a guitar-oriented magazine.

4) People don't want good singers in rock/metal; they want singers that fit. See also: Rob Halford, Phil Anselmo, Bret Michaels, Ozzy, et cetera.

As I said, I completely agree, and I think he has a great story, as well. I just don't think he's the type of guy that'd get noticed by Guitar World, even though he's every bit as good as Mark Tremonti (and if you don't believe me, listen to Blackbird or Cry of Achilles).

I know that Freddy is Great - and I believe it's Great to mention it! personally I got a lot of influence out of the Great Anselmo. I think it's good that everyone has different opinions about who's greater because that's why music is different. Rock on Folks!!

I can't believe 29 people voted for anselmo

Tight but loose

Impossible to have greatest singer comp. when you have people like Anselmo,Blythe,Keenan, and Cobain in while Steve Perry,Steve Marriot,Paul Rodgers,David Coverdale,Ian Gillian, and Rod Stewart aren't even being considered. This is such a f@#king joke.

Not to mention Brad Delp (Boston), Lou Gramm (Foreigner) , Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Ann Wilson (Heart), Elton John, Roger Daltrey(Who), Dan McCafferty (Nazareth),Brian Johnson and so many more!! I cannot imagine trying to narrow it down to 16 to start the contest

Geetar Fan

Halford already out? No Geddy Lee? Even Weird Al or Odorus Urungus would have been better choices than Randy Blythe. It'll be between Ozzy and Plant with Ozzy coming out as the victor in a close race.
