Alice in Chains iPhone App Coming Oct. 27.

Alice in Chains has announced an October 27th release date for the Black Gives Way to Blue iPhone app. The app features full songs from the band's acclaimed new album on Virgin/EMI, music videos, news, photos, social networking and much more. The app separates itself from the pack with an impressive level of interactivity; its custom-built functionality allows fans to interact with each of the album's 11 tracks via a touch, drag and hold feature that reveals hidden visual gems. Designed and developed by Mobile Roadie, Streetwise Concepts & Culture ( and EMI Music, the app amplifies the sound and vision of Alice In Chains' new album, Black Gives Way to Blue. The app features a plethora of highlights, including:

* Full audio streaming of three songs (lead single "Check My Brain," "A Looking In View" and "Acid Bubble" from Black Gives Way to Blue.

* Full video streaming of "Check My Brain" and "A Looking In View." Both the audio and visual material will be updated on an ongoing basis.

* Rare photos, breaking news, tour dates, band bio, discography, fan wall for commenting and access to Alice In Chains merchandise, tickets, web site and band mailing list.

* Facebook and Twitter integration allowing fans to carry the interactive experience with them, as well as post and share with friends.
