Last night, GuitarWorld.com's Josh Hart and I attended a listening session for Noel Gallagher's upcoming post-Oasis solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, which comes out November 8 on Sour Mash Records.
All Liam Gallagher wanted was an apology. When we announced last week that Liam was suing his brother Noel over "lies" surrounding the breakup of Oasis, he never made mention once of a monetary sum in his official statement.
"Everyone knows that if you’ve got a brother, you’re going to fight." We used that quote from Liam in our article on "The Best Liam and Noel Gallagher Insults." Of course, those insults were for the most part all in good fun, but now it seems the back-and-forth arguments in the press are about to lead to court.
Noel Gallagher has admitted that his decision to quit Oasis may have been a "hasty decision," citing his desire to be together in 2015 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band's hit album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory.
When the Gallagher brothers get along, it makes for some amazing tunes. When they don't, it makes for a hilarious exchange of quotes in the media. The most recent comes from Liam Gallagher, who is responding to both Noel calling him a "born liar" and claiming that he was bullied out of the band by Liam.
Beady Eye announced today that they'll be returning to North America for several dates this fall. The band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) will start off in Vancouver on November 29 and will visit New York City on December 9.
