Jack White is a busy man.
The Raconteurs, his "other band", is heading to Nashville to get back into the studio, according to Billboard.com.
The band, made up of White, along with Brendan Benson, and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of The Greenhornes, will be working on the follow-up to their acclaimed 2006 release, "Broken Boy Soldiers."
Meanwhile, The White Stripes, the band White founded with wife/partner Meg White, will be headed out on the road in June to support "Icky Thump"--their new release--which is out June 19th. That leaves The Raconteurs with about three weeks in the studio.
"We don't know if were going to finish but we wanted to get everything down before we got busy," White says. "We have a lot bigger ideas about certain things, so we will see how far we get."
The as-yet-unnamed record, which will be engineered by Joe Chiccarelli (Zappa, Beck), is due out in 2008.
