Ace Frehley

The archetypical ‘do not try this at home’ guitars, one emits smoke, the other fires rockets… But don’t worry, they come with instructions

The event – which benefits Cooper's Rock Teen Center in Phoenix, Arizona – took place on Saturday

During Cooper’s recent show at West Palm Beach, Frehley added his guitar firepower to fellow axe-slingers Nita Strauss, Ryan Roxie and Tommy Henriksen for the high-octane grand finale

“If the money’s right and it’s presented to me in the right way, anything can happen,” the Kiss founding guitarist says

The guitar – which was purchased as a Tobacco Burst-finished single-cut – now sports a double cutaway and black finish, and features Ace Frehley's signature on the back

Frehley is pictured holding the guitar – which was the basis of Gibson's Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul – on the September 1996 Kiss special issue of Guitar World

“I am excited that Gibson is going to put it out,” the Kiss legend says

Fresh cuts from Joe Bonamassa, Mastodon, Lomelda, South of Eden and more

Origins Vol. 2 also features classics from Zeppelin, Hendrix, the Beatles and more
