He must have been a great instructor, because many of his students went on to achieve fame of their own. Among the best known are Steve Vai, Alex Skolnick, Andy Timmons, Larry LaLonde, Rick Hunolt, Charlie Hunter, Jeff Tyson and Kevin Cadogan.
