In the crudest possible way, one that veers dangerously close to Spinal Tap territory, the cover art for Asking Alexandria’s new album, From Death to Destiny, illustrates the band members’ changed priorities since they started working on the disc.
“A lot of bands in our genre are happy where they’re at, and that’s fine,” says Ben Bruce, guitarist for British metalcore unit Asking Alexandria. “But it’s time for us to move upward and bring our fans into a new realm.”
This month, Asking Alexandra began headlining the fourth annual Monster Energy Outbreak Festival. The dates bring to a close the band’s 2012 tour, finalizing well over a year and a half on the road behind their most recent album and sophomore full-length disc, Reckless and Relentless.
