Mastodon will release a new live album, Live at Brixton, on December 10. The disc captures the band's sold-out February 11, 2012, performance at London’s O2 Academy in Brixton, London, England.

Long before Mastodon was a band, it was a large, tusked land mammal that inhabited parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Central America during the Pleistocene era.

One of the more bizarre releases scheduled for Record Store Day tomorrow is a 7-inch split single featuring metal titans Mastodon and pop/indie songstress Feist.
