While 1990's Cowboys From a Hell was a radical reinvention for a band that wrote "Ride My Rocket," Vulgar Display of Power was the next logical step in the evolution of Pantera, further refining their signature recipe of equal parts groove and thrash into a piledriving cacophony truly worthy of the tag "vulgar."
It's been a big couple of weeks for Pantera fans. First the band premiered a new music video for a previously unheard track called "Piss" at the 4th annual Revolver Golden Gods , and now a previously unheard Dimebag track has been appeared online — apparently to promote a new Dimebag-themed skateboard from Elephant Brand Skateboards. You can stream "Twisted" below.
I’m not a collector by nature. It seems like after 20 years in the business I’d have all sorts of valuable music-related artifacts. Instead, my office is dotted with just a couple of guitars, a blizzard of press releases and small handful of weird memorabilia that has somehow stuck to my walls and shelves like chewed gum on the bottom of a shoe.
