Prime Day guitar deals

Day 2 of Prime Day 2025 is officially here! Amazon's flagship sales event is a four-day extravaganza this year and we're already 25% of the way in. The deals will end on Friday 11th July. You're probably being bombarded by messaging about discounts and you don't know where to start, or what's a genuinely good deal. That's where we come in. We're here to help you navigate the Prime Day guitar deals and bag a bargain on something you actually need.

This year's Prime Day is shaping up to be a good one for players, and we're already seeing big savings on all things guitar-related – it's a particularly good showing if you're on the hunt for affordable pedals or accessories, such as strings and picks (our favorites start from just $5.05).

But it's not all about Amazon. If you hop off-site, you'll discover pretty remarkable sales happening at all the major music retailers too, including up to 50% off a host of live sound gear at Sweetwater, up to 60% off in Guitar Center's Stars, Stripes and Savings sale (which is due to end any time now), and a slew of insane Flash deals at Musician's Friend.

We test a lot of guitar gear here at Guitar World, so anything we recommend will be based on personal experience amongst the team, or off the back of a strong review.

We'll be feverishly updating this page from now until the sale officially ends on Friday, so be sure to check back regularly to see what epic guitar-related bargains we uncover.

PRS SE Custom 24
Save 20%
PRS SE Custom 24: was $849 now $679 at Guitar Center

The PRS SE Custom 24 is one of our favorite guitars here at Guitar World. For me, it hits that sweet spot of affordability, playability, and great sound, making it a proper gigging workhorse that will sound just as good in the studio as it does on stage. It's got single coil sounds available alongside the humbuckers, and the build quality is amongst the best I've ever seen. Positive Grid Spark 2
Positive Grid Spark 2: was $299 now $279 at Amazon

Without a doubt the best practice amp I've ever laid hands on, Positive Grid's Spark 2 might not be as much of a game-changer as the original was, but PG have made improvements in all the right places. The outward facing speakers deliver more power and some sensational guitar tones, while the addition of a looper, AI tone generation, and your own AI backing band makes this probably the most complete practice solution out there right now.

Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 8
Save 20%
Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 8: was $4,299 now $3,449 at Guitar Center

As well as being one of the biggest savings I've seen on an electric guitar this year, this Ernie Ball John Petrucci Majesty 8 is just straight up crazy. Capable of being tuned to a full octave below E standard, it's packing two DiMarzio humbuckers with magnetic and piezo options, coil tap, and a built-in 20dB boost circuit, making it surprisingly versatile when it comes to tone. Add 24 stainless steel fanned frets on an ebony fretboard and you've got one seriously good playing guitar.

Squier Limited Edition Paranormal Esquire Deluxe
Save 20%
Squier Limited Edition Paranormal Esquire Deluxe: was $473.99 now $379.19 at Fender

I was browsing the Fender sale earlier this week when I came across this absolute stunner. The Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe is a single humbucker guitar with some tricks up its sleeve. The three-way rotary switch gives you the humbucker, a coil split option, and an option to remove the volume and tone control from the circuit, making it much more versatile than you'd expect from its stunning looks alone.

Squier Limited Edition Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic
Save 20%
Squier Limited Edition Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic: was $473.99 now $379.19 at Fender

It may look like a Strat, but this Squier Limited Edition Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic only really shares its looks with that most iconic of guitars. Instead of the single coil trio it has two alnico soapbar pickups for plenty of gritty tone. The wraparound bridge is another unusual bit of hardware to see on a Squier guitar, and series/parallel and phase switching give you loads of tone options.

Vox Bobcat S66 Sapphire Blue: was $1,499.99 now $499.99 at Reverb

Amp & pedals deals

Line 6 HX Stomp
Save 14%
Line 6 HX Stomp: was $699.99 now $599 at Musician's Friend

I've waxed lyrical about the HX Stomp so much that I think people might actually be getting annoyed with me. It hasn't left my pedalboard since I put it on a few years ago, and even with the announce of the new Stadium line I can't see it leaving any time soon. It can play the role of multi-effects, amp simulator, and even audio interface, making it an uber-flexible bit of gear to have in your arsenal.

Line 6 Helix LT
Save 10%
Line 6 Helix LT: was $999.99 now $899.99 at Sweetwater Sound

The Helix LT delivers the core power of Line 6’s flagship Helix in a streamlined, more affordable package, and right now it’s $100 off at Sweetwater. You still get access to over 200 effects, over 80 amps and 60 cabinets, with a user-friendly layout that is ideal for gigging and recording. Sure, you lose the scribble strips and a few ins and outs, but the tone engine is identical. Pound for pound, it’s one of the most capable modelers on the market. If you’re a session musician or simply want to try Helix, this is a great opportunity to do so and save some money.

Line 6 HX Effects
Save 15%
Line 6 HX Effects: was $649.99 now $549.99 at Sweetwater Sound

Line 6 created the HX multi-effects unit for those who want a neat, clean and cost-effective effects processor. With $100 off in the Sweetwater sale, you can use the HX to replace your ‘board entirely or simply use it as a complementary option for an existing setup. Although not as stacked as its bigger siblings, there are still over 200 effects, a built-in looper and full MIDI capability for your troubles. I have always loved the compact yet rugged build of the HX and using the momentary switch options for modulation effects is great fun.

Line 6 Helix Native plugin
Save 40%
Line 6 Helix Native plugin: was $399.99 now $239.99 at Sweetwater Sound

For those studio geeks and home recording enthusiasts, if you have not yet been acquainted with the Helix Native plugin, allow us to introduce you. With an incredibly generous $160 off at Sweetwater, this package delivers over 60 amps, 30 cabs, and 100 effects to use alongside your DAW of choice. I’ve used the Native plugin before, and the first thing I noticed was how well Line 6 translated the easy-to-dial-in functionality to a computer. It makes playing guitar through your laptop fun again!

Electro-Harmonix EHX Tortion JFET Overdrive
Save 60%
Electro-Harmonix EHX Tortion JFET Overdrive: was $203.20 now $81.25 at Sweetwater Sound

I've seen some cracking deals on EHX pedals over the course of Prime Day, and this one is no different. With a massive $121.95 off, you're paying relatively little for a top-quality overdrive pedal. It acts as a 2-channel pedal which gives you the possibility of both classic and modern overdrive tones, and a cab-sim output makes it more flexible than your average overdrive pedal.

Electro-Harmonix Lizard Queen
Save 60%
Electro-Harmonix Lizard Queen: was $99 now $39.60 at Guitar Center

If you’re looking for a super cheap pedal deal this Prime Day, then this Electro-Harmonix Lizard Queen for less than half price is one of the best I've found. Combining a vintage fuzz tone with a high-octave sound, you can craft everything from Jack White-type lead guitar tones to nasty, ring-modulated sounds that will melt the face of anyone in the nearby vicinity.

Donner Yellow Fall
Save 25%
Donner Yellow Fall: was $39.99 now $29.99 at Amazon

A fully analog delay that's small enough to fit on any pedalboard for only $29.99? Yes please. Featuring warm repeats, a robust aluminum-alloy enclosure, and true bypass switching, this pedal is a steal at under $30!

Joyo Vintage Overdrive
Save 20%
Joyo Vintage Overdrive: was $34.99 now $27.99 at Amazon

The JOYO Vintage Overdrive is based on the iconic TS808 and uses the same RC4558 chip. Producing a rounded, smooth drive that is ideal for classic rock, this pedal sounds significantly better than its modest price tag would suggest. Save 20% at Amazon.

Donner Mod Square II
Save 20%
Donner Mod Square II: was $49.99 now $39.99 at Amazon

Fancy a whopping 16 different modulation effects for only $39.99? That works out at under $3 an effect! If you want to explore the world of modulation and find your own sound, then the Donner Mod Square II is the stomp for you.

TC Electronic Ditto+
Save 38%
TC Electronic Ditto+: was $159 now $99 at Reverb

Looper pedals are a great way to both enhance your practice regimen and your live shows. The Ditto+ takes everything great about the original Ditto and adds the ability to save your loops to the pedal. This means you can build a locker of sounds that you can bring into your playing, or just use it to save those moments of inspiration at the tap of a foot.

Electro-Harmonix Soul POG
Save 60%
Electro-Harmonix Soul POG: was $324.80 now $129.90 at Sweetwater Sound

The EHX Soul POG is criminally underrated in my opinion. I've had one on my 'board for years now, sitting near the front of my chain to give me a tone boost through the Soul Food and, of course, that delicious octave guitar tone courtesy of the POG. It's super flexible as you can swap the order of the pedals, or use the send and return jacks to insert effects in between the two. With a ginormous $194.90 discount, it's cheaper than just buying a Nano POG by itself, so you're essentially getting the Soul Food for free. Bargain!

Joyo Overdrive
Save 20%
Joyo Overdrive: was $59.99 now $47.99 at Amazon

Everyone needs a Tube Screamer-clone on their ‘board, and even at full price this Joyo Overdrive pedal is excellent value for money. Down to just $47.99 with a 20% reduction in the early Prime Day sale at Amazon, if you’re looking to fill a gap on your pedalboard or just get started building your first one, it’s a great option. Two sections give you a boost and an overdrive function, making it nice and versatile in use and essentially making it two pedals in one bright green enclosure.

Kmise Vintage Overdrive
Save 15%
Kmise Vintage Overdrive: was $19.99 now $16.93 at Amazon

Who says pedals need to cost a fortune? Certainly not Amazon. This Kmise Vintage Overdrive is only $16.93! We're guessing by its color and control layout that this is some sort of Tube Screamer-style circuit, but to be honest, we aren't completely sure. That said, for under $20, it is definitely worth purchasing just to find out.

D'Addario XPND Pedalboard
D'Addario XPND Pedalboard: was $109 now $101.99 at Amazon

We are massive fans of D'Addario's game-changing telescopic pedalboard design. This unique 'board adjusts to accommodate your pedal needs, meaning it will always fit your setup and remain neat and tidy at your feet. Save 7% for a limited time at Amazon.

Positive Grid Spark
Positive Grid Spark: was $279 now $260 at Amazon

Positive Grid’s Spark 40 amp regularly tops ‘best of’ lists here at Guitar World thanks to its excellent range of tones and practice tools. It’s the perfect option for players short on space who need a desktop or practice amp, and is currently down to just $260 in the Amazon Prime Day sale.

At the same time, the quick attack makes it a great option for electric players looking to add a new sonic flavor to their playing.

D’Addario XL Guitar Strings
Save 16%
D’Addario XL Guitar Strings: was $5.99 now $5.05 at Amazon

It’s boring, but buying strings is a necessity for all guitarists, so you might as well get them cheaper. This deal on D’Addario XL strings doesn’t look like much in terms of money, but it’s 16% off, which is nothing to sniff at. It’s on the 10-46 set which will suit the vast majority of guitarists, and it’s a nice deal to chuck in with some other essentials you might be buying from Amazon during Prime Day.

Fender Blockchain Patch Cable Kit
Save 70%
Fender Blockchain Patch Cable Kit: was $149.99 now $45 at Fender

If you want to outfit your pedalboard for less, then this is a great deal that beats anything I’ve seen at Amazon thus far. With a gigantic discount of $104.99 on the large cable kit, you’re getting 15 patch cables of great quality and varying lengths for just $3 each. It’s the perfect way to neaten up that pedalboard ahead of any summer and autumn shows, or just make life easier for you practicing at home.

Fender Pick Sampler
Save 21%
Fender Pick Sampler: was $13.99 now $10.99 at Amazon

Trying out different picks is a great way to freshen up your playing style. Your pick has a surprising effect on the sound of your guitar, and I always like to use different picks for different styles. With this 12-pack sampler from Fender, you get a nice variety of thicknesses to choose from, giving you a quick and low-cost way to change the way you play, and potentially open up a new array of riffs and licks.

Levy’s Leather Strap
Save 15%
Levy’s Leather Strap: was $29.99 now $25.49 at Amazon

If you’ve recently bought a fresh guitar or you’ve got a few in your collection, having a dedicated strap for each can make things just that little bit easier when switching between your guitars. This Levy’s Leather Strap has a nice width, which makes it super comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The ladder style of adjustment means it will fit a variety of different instruments, and the leather means it will last for years and years. I’ve got a couple of leather straps, and one of them is still going even after 15 years of use!

Mvyc Cable Wraps
Save 20%
Mvyc Cable Wraps: was $6.99 now $5.59 at Amazon

Arguably the most boring of all the boring items on this list, these cable wraps may be dull, but they will make your life much easier. As a regularly gigging musician, studio engineer, and gear reviewer, I’ve got a myriad of different cables in my home studio and earlier in the year I decided to finally get my house in order. I bought these exact cable wraps because of the different colors, which allowed me to color code depending on the use of the particular cable. Cable management isn’t the most exciting thing but it’s worth investing some time into it now because you’ll reap the benefits later on. I even use them on my pedalboard to tie my patch cables together underneath, as they hold well and are easier to unwrap if I need to make adjustments.

Boenfu Wire Cutters
Save 25%
Boenfu Wire Cutters: was $7.79 now $5.87 at Amazon

A good pair of wire cutters is one of those things that you’ll buy once and then not need to replace for years. All guitarists will be changing strings at one point or another, and these are a nice size for getting into the string at the headstock and cutting them as flush as possible once you’re done winding. They also double as a great pair of cutters for making repairs to guitar cables and other audio cables if you’re the handy sort that likes to make or repair their own cables.

Velcro Heavy Duty
Save 26%
Velcro Heavy Duty: was $19.99 now $14.83 at Amazon

Another purchase I made years ago that I haven’t had to make again was some good-quality Velcro. This stuff is ridiculously strong, so much so that sometimes I genuinely struggle to get my pedals off my pedalboard when I’m reordering them. While I might have to put some elbow grease in every now and then to get them off, it does give me a lot of satisfaction that the pedals on my ‘board aren’t going anywhere, no matter where I take them. There’s plenty of length here to stick to a large assortment of pedals, and it's easy enough to cut it to size.

Homexcel Microfiber Cloths
Save 22%
Homexcel Microfiber Cloths: was $8.99 now $6.99 at Amazon

Keeping your gear clean not only makes it look better but also helps it last longer. Every time you change your strings you should use the opportunity to clean your guitar, and these microfiber cloths work well on a variety of guitar finishes. The soft surface of the microfiber means the chances of scratching your guitar are minimal, even if it has a more delicate nitrocellulose finish. They work well with other cleaning products too if you like to use fingerboard conditioner or polish on the guitar body. With 12 in a pack, you’re not likely to run out of them anytime soon either!

Sensyne Phone Tripod
Save 37%
Sensyne Phone Tripod: was $29.98 now $18.99 at Amazon

With the easy availability of smartphones with top-quality cameras and the addition of a cheap phone tripod like this one from Sensyne, I never want to see a badly angled guitar video again. If you like to post your playing on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or anywhere else, this phone tripod is a great way to get a more professional look to your guitar videos. It’s adjustable to 62 inches in height, so you can play standing up if you prefer, and it also doubles as a selfie stick, so you can take it on holiday with you too!

Prime Day guitar deals 2025 FAQ

Amazon Prime Day logo

When is Prime Day 2025?

Amazon Prime Day has traditionally always taken place at some point in July. This year, Prime Day 2025 will take place on Tuesday, July 8, and end on Friday, July 11.

And yes, you read that right: Prime Day is not actually a single-day event, but rather a four-day extravaganza of millions of deals, sales, and discounts. This is the first time we've seen Amazon extend the event past its typical 2-day runtime, so we're excited to see if the extra days will bring additional deals and discounts.

You can keep tabs on all the latest Prime Day news at Amazon's own Prime Day page. In our experience, the deals aren't isolated to just the four days of Prime Day, with many appearing ahead of time, and some sticking around for a few days after the event, too.

When does Prime Day 2025 end?

Prime Day officially ends at midnight on July 11th. But that doesn't mean there aren't still deals to be picked up after that time. Many Prime Day deals will hang around for a little bit after the end of the official sale, so if you're late to the party, you might still be able to grab hold of that discount.

Do I need a Prime subscription for Prime Day?

If you want to take advantage of Amazon’s Prime Day guitar deals the answer is a big fat yes. Amazon always offers free trials to those who haven't used the service before, so if you were feeling tactical you could sign up for a free trial closer to the event, grab the most enticing bargains and then cancel your subscription once the items are in your hands, but we didn’t tell you to do that...

There are plenty of perks to being an Amazon Prime Member, of course, including faster delivery options, exclusive deals and access to Prime Music and Prime Video, so it could be worth becoming a fully paid up member if you're a regular Amazon shopper.

At the time of writing, a monthly Amazon Prime subscription costs $14.99/£7.99 (which you can cancel at any time) and a yearly option is $139/£79.

There's also a student tier available that currently costs $7.49/£3.99 per month or $69/£39 per year.

Where can I find the best non-Amazon guitar deals?

In 2023 and 2024, in addition to Amazon, there were great guitar discounts doing the rounds from Fender Play, Musician’s Friend and Guitar Center, plus Walmart and Best Buy on everything from beginner acoustic guitars to reverb pedals. We’re hoping for more guitar activity from retailers including Sweetwater in 2025. We heard whispers of some great guitar offers on the horizon, so watch this space.

Although it’s an Amazon invention, Prime Day has always created a buzz and gets people in the mood for a bargain. Because of this, we’re confident more retailers will get involved with great Prime Day guitar deals this year.

Last year, we also saw certain retailers offer discount codes of up to 20% on a whole range of great guitar gear.

Are things really cheaper on Prime Day?

Short answer, yes they are. Every Prime Day deal you see on this page will be a legit discount, as it's been personally checked by one of our team. We often price-check our deals on competitor sites too so you get a true picture of the actual savings you're making.
