High on Fire Set to Enter Studio
Oakland, California's High on Fire—guitarist Matt Pike, drummer Des Kensel and bassist Jeff Matz—will be teaming up with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Zeke) for what will be the band’s fourth studio album.
Recording is set to happen at Avast II (formerly Ironwood Studio), while mixing will move to Soundhouse Studios. This still-as-yet-untitled record will see an early Fall release.
This will be the first High on Fire album to feature new bassist Matz (ex-Zeke). The band has been debuting new material as part of its recent regional dates and has announced a handful of Northwest shows leading up to recording.
