PRS Guitars To Be Featured in Guitar Hero Smash Hits
Paul Reed Smith Guitars has just announced that two of their most popular electric guitar models are featured in the soon to be released Guitar Hero Smash Hits from Activision Publishing, Inc. The Custom 24, the top-selling PRS guitar model in history, and the vintage styled SC 245 are among the new in-game guitar models players can choose from.
Guitar Hero Smash Hits, the upcoming title from one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time, will be released June 16, 2009. The game showcases the most famous and infamous tracks from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and allows music and video game aficionados to join together with controllers for guitars, drums and vocals and rock to master tracks of their favorite Guitar Hero music.
“Guitar Hero has become such an institution. My kids love it. And it has done amazing things to bring music awareness to so many people. I think it is really cool we’re part of the new release,” said Paul Reed Smith.
Featuring 48 master recordings, Guitar Hero Smash Hits delivers exciting online and offline gameplay modes including Band Career and 8-player “Battle of the Bands,” which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online. Players’ rock n’ roll fantasies turn to realities as they create their rocker, compose their music and share it with the world through the innovative Music Studio, GHTunesSM and robust Rock Star Creator gameplay modes first introduced in Guitar Hero World Tour.
