Weezer have unveiled a zany new music video for "Go Away." The song, which happens to be the latest single off of the band's critically acclaimed 2014 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, features Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino as a special guest.
“Rock is dead. Guitar is dead.” Weezer’s ninth studio album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, opens with these two dire statements, both uttered before the opening riff of “Ain’t Got Nobody” kicks in. “All those voices you hear on the record are the voices that we’ve heard in our lives and in our careers in recent years,” explains Rivers Cuomo, Weezer’s primary songwriter, lead guitarist and vocalist.

Weezer will be releasing their ninth album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End, September 30 on Republic Records. Produced by Ric Ocasek, who worked on the band’s first and third records (“The Blue Album” and “The Green Album”), Everything Will Be Alright In The End is the band’s first collection of new material in four years.
Last night, July 30, Weezer and the Flaming Lips joined forces at the PNC Banks Art Center in New Jersey for a one-of-a-kind show that featured both bands sharing the stage. The show opened with Rivers Cuomo and Wayne Coyne crowd surfing inside giant bubbles (see left), a trademark of Flaming Lips shows, while both bands jammed on Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf."
Today, Weezer announced they'll be curating the Weezer Cruise, a music festival-at-sea, January 19 to 23, 2012. The cruise takes place aboard the Carnival Destiny, sailing from Miami to the island of Cozumel, off the coast of Mexico.
