DBZ Guitars Unleashes Bird of Prey
DBZ Guitars has announced a radical new instrument intended to redefine the world of metal guitars: the Bird of Prey. From the darkest depths of legendary guitar designer Dean B. Zelinsky, and anchoring the company’s metal-inspired Darkside of Dean line, the Bird of Prey combines advanced design techniques, high performance and unstoppable off-the-hook stage appeal in the same instrument.
Built for aggressive players with refined tastes, the Bird of Prey is a carved work of art that fuses form and function. Available in a variety of custom colors and graphics with a highly contoured body, the Bird of Prey makes the ultimate artistic statement without having to say a word. The Bird of Prey comes loaded with EMG 81 and 85 active humbuckers providing all the intensity and punch needed to compliment the powerful design. The Bird of Prey’s extended scale length, soft V profile and easy access 24-fret neck gives players the ability to tear up the fretboard in style while lending their music an unparalleled visual statement.
Being a pioneer of metal guitars, many of metal’s royalty gravitated toward Zelinsky’s designs early on. “One look at the Bird of Prey and you’ll see that we are giving metal a whole new level of respect,” says CEO and founder of DBZ Guitars, Dean B. Zelinsky. “We are using technology and sophisticated design sensibilities to set a new precedent for metal guitars. From these perspectives the Bird of Prey is a guitar that simply cannot be denied.”
Available in both import and USA models, the USA Bird of Prey features a Mahogany body, optional Flame Maple top, a 24-fret set neck and an ebony fingerboard. It also includes EMG 81/85 humbuckers, custom DBZ inlays, Sperzel tuners and a locking Floyd Rose tremolo system. Every Bird of Prey is available in a variety of custom colors, or an array of stunning graphics.
