Patrick Polites should be credited for making what we just found out is a legendary tape of R.R. Pat made this tape with a little plastic cassette recorder in 1982. He kept one copy and we made a copy for me (on 8-Track if you can believe it!). We were the only two people on earth with this tape. After Randy was killed, we went to a Ozzy Osbourne signing at the Oasis Records in Oakland PA (Pitt Campus). We decided to make a third copy of the tape and give it to Ozzy. We did and he seemed truly excited and asked us questions about the tape. Apparently he thought even more of it than we really thought. This must have come from the tape we gave to Ozzy that day because neither Pat nor I have put this tape out. It has appraently made it's way to a lot of Randy Rhodes fans over the years without either of our knowledge until today . I want Pat to get the credit he deserves for having the forsight to take the recorder (and in 1982 it was not as easy to record something as it is today) and capture this incredible moment in Randy Rhodes History.
Thank You Pat!

Not sure why GW is acting like this is is some super secret tape they've acquired. I'm listening to the audio (POSTED IN 2007) over on YouTube:

WOW! This article is totally awesome. Great to get some real insight into how Randy approached this stuff from the man himself.

I'm listening to the audio from this seminar right now, as I'm reading the article, and the transcribers who were in charge of this obviously didn't pay much attention to what he was ACTUALLY saying.
