Partnering up with Schecter Guitars, the latest sale at Guitar Center is offering up to 25% off a selection of guitars, amps, and pedals. It's a long-running sale that you can keep saving on until August 5th.
With it being a metal-guitar-themed sale, brands like Schecter, Jackson, and Ibanez are well represented. It’s not just for metal players, though; I’ve spied some more traditional Fender and Gibson guitars in the sale too, so there’s something for everyone here.
As something of a heavy guitar player myself, I was curious to see what’s available in the sale. One of the first deals to catch my eye was the Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22-7 DKA HT 7-String, which has a massive 25% reduction at the moment. Already a relatively cheap guitar, it’s down to just $262.49 in the sale, which is great value for an extended-range guitar.
In my Jackson JS22-7 DKA Dinky 7-string review, I gave it four stars out of five. The playability of this thing is really quite good, even with the additional string and wider neck to accommodate it. The stock pickups do a good job despite not being incredible, but at this price, this guitar has some serious modding potential, and whacking a pair of higher-priced humbuckers into it would make it a serious bit of kit indeed.
If you want something more premium, this Schecter C-1 Platinum has got a humongous $288 reduction, making it one of the best value guitars in the whole sale. It's got an EMG humbucker in the bridge position, the absolutely epic Sustainiac pickup in the neck for infinitely sustaining notes, and a Floyd Rose locking tremolo for all your guitar acrobatics.
Finally, the Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120 has a mega $300 discount. As a perennial favorite of guitar players across the globe and a general legend of guitar amps, it’s super rare to see a discount on this amp, never mind one this big. As you may know, it’s the ultimate pedal platform, providing a clean base with bags of headroom, making it ideal for pedalboard players to build their tone henge upon.
