Here's another gem I found in my inbox this morning. It's a video titled "Fastest guitarist in the world: 27 notes per second on guitar (Sergiy Putyatov) Guinness Record 2012," and it was posted to YouTube earlier this year.
I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but on Fridays we usually share what we call "WTF videos" — clips of 8-year-old kids covering Guthrie Govan tunes, 14-year-olds looking totally bored as they rip through "Eruption" and complex Vivaldi tributes — and famous guitar players who dress up as horses.
In the very cool video below, guitarist Alex Chadwick at Chicago Music Exchange plays 100 well-known guitar riffs — in one take — providing a chronological history of rock and roll. And while some of you might've seen this clip before (It was posted in June 2012 and has been viewed almost 7 million times), you might enjoy a recent update to the video — TABS for everything Chadwick plays.
Below, check out an excerpt from an upcoming animated skit show called 6 Pack. The clip — which was written by Mark Shields and Jim Sharkey and animated by Mark Shields (a Top Off production) — shows a young Eddie Van Halen having a conversation with his girlfriend.
