Here are two more videos from the "they're not new, but they're new to me" file. It's a pair of 2009 videos of a young guitarist named Zack Kim playing the Super Mario Bros. theme and The Simpsons them—on two guitars at once.
As we've seen, especially here on GuitarWorld.com (and other far less interesting guitar-centric websites), guitars can be used for many, many odd things. For instance, guitarist Mario Torrado uses his Gibson Explorer to make annoying mosquito noises as his poor friend tries to sleep (Check out the video at the very bottom of this story).
Evidently, guitarist Chad Neidt posts a new "One Minute Mashup" video the first Monday of pretty much every month. Here's a good one from a few months ago. It's a medley of popular video game themes—performed on classical guitar. Below, you can see a complete list of the themes he plays in the video.
A few new guitar-centric videos have made their way to the interwebs (or at least come to our attention), and we thought we'd pass 'em along. First, check out "Shit Guitarists Don't Say," followed by "Things Guitarists Say in the Studio."
