In this particularly good "guitar video," we see a Lego bot—as programmed in Lego Mindstorms EV3 bundled software—playing an acoustic guitar. The Lego bot is actually playing a cover of "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men.
Take this video featuring Roy Smeck, who was known as "the Wizard of the Strings" in his day. Smeck was shredding on ukuleles and other instruments in the Twenties and Thirties, as seen in this clip. He even played at Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt's inauguration in 1933.
Here's a relatively recent video by guitarist Fabio Lima. In the clip, which you can check out below, Lima creates a medley of Super Mario Bros. theme music as a unique fingerstyle/classical-guitar piece.
Finland's Steve ‘N’ Seagulls, the guys who brought you their acoustic, bluegrass-tinged covers of Dio's "Holy Diver" and Iron Maiden's "The Trooper," are back with a new cover—and a new video. Below, check out their new rendition of Metallica's "Seek & Destroy," which was posted to YouTube just yesterday.
In this new clip, posted earlier this month by YouTube user Felipe SignaveriS, we're treated to 42 classic movie themes, all played in various styles of metal, including thrash, death, black, groove, modern and beyond.
As the main "lesson posting guy" here at Guitar World, I see a lot of lessons—tabs, videos, pointers, tips, etc.—go past me on my monitor.
